What is God’s plan?
The plan of salvation is the plan of God's love.
It was conceived before the creation of the world (1 Peter 1:18-20; 2 Timothy 1:9, 10).
Man cannot save himself (Psalm 48:7-10, 16), so it was decided that God would sacrifice His Son: "For God so loved the world, that he gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life" (John 3:16).
Jesus Christ, the Son of God, came to earth in the body of a man (1 Timothy 3: 16).to:
- save sinful people (Matthew 20: 28),
- live a sinless life (1 Peter 2:22),
- redeem us and pay with His life for our sins (1 Timothy 2:6).
On the cross of Calvary, there was a replacement: the sinless Jesus took all the sins of humanity on Himself, accepting the punishment for them, and gave His sinlessness to people so that we could live happily here and now, and most importantly, be able to enter the Holy Heavenly Kingdom.
To demonstrate to people the victory over death, Jesus Himself rose from the dead (1 Corinthians 15: 20-22).
The price of our salvation?
No treasure can compare with the wonderful gift of salvation in Christ. God gives salvation freely, salvation in Christ, "in whom we have redemption by His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace ... and this is not of you, it is God's gift" (Ephesians 1:7; 2:8).
Is Jesus our Savior?
If we are sick, we can choose any doctor to treat us. But the disease of sin can only be cured by one Doctor. "Whoever commits sin is a servant of sin... if the Son sets you free, you will truly be free" (John 8: 34-36).
"For there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we should be saved (Acts 4: 12).
The blood of the Son of God is a dear price to pay for the redemption of mankind (1 Peter 1: 18, 19).
