- Sometimes, in desperation, people who have lost loved ones try to contact the deceased. But the Bible clearly tells us that the dead sleep. Therefore, there can be no connection between the living and the dead. But Satan continues to deceive people, posing as their relatives and friends during various spiritual sessions, while revealing secrets that only the dead could know. This is not difficult for him, since he can even take on the appearance of an angel of light (2 Corinthians 11:14).

- In the Bible, there is another word associated with death – gehenna. Gehenna is the name of the lake of fire, in which the wicked will be destroyed by the judgment of the great Judgment at the end of time (Matthew 5:29, 30; 10:28; 23:33; Revelation 20: 14). Centuries after the lives of Jesus and the apostles, theologians combined the two concepts of "hell "and" gehenna", so hell became associated with the posthumous fire.
- In fact, the Bible does not describe the posthumous torment of the spirit without a body in hell and its bliss in paradise. These Bible verses, as well as others describing dead people (Luke 16:22-24; Revelation 6:9-11; 7:9), describe bodies with their elements and clothing, not disembodied souls.
Someone said this about death: "The sun sets and rises again. And we, when our short day ends, must sleep forever." Thank God that the Christian's night does not last forever, but only until the return of Jesus Christ. Victor Hugo wrote: "Winter has covered my head, but spring lives in my heart." The eternal spring of Divine promises always blooms in the heart of the Christian.
