One of the fundamental teachings of Christianity is the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. The Bible says that His First Coming to earth was of great significance for all mankind, as well as for the inhabitants of heaven.
The second coming will be even more significant for earth and earthlings, as well as for other inhabitants of the universe.
- Since it was preceded by the vicarious sacrifice of Jesus Christ (Acts 13: 38; 26: 18; Romans 6: 23; John 3: 16)
- For the one who was cast down from heaven will be destroyed - the author of sin, Satan (Luke 10: 18; John 12: 31; Revelation 12:9)
- Because it is the only hope of people for the forgiveness of their sins and eternal life.
- Just as during his second visit to earth, Christ will sum up the life of every human being and make the final judgment on ungodly people, the devil and his minions.
Has the Almighty promised to return to this earth?
Jesus Christ promised to return (John 14: 3). Both the Old and New Testaments contain promises about the reward of those who love God and the retribution of the unrighteous at the great Judgment after the Second Coming of the Lord on earth. At the Second Coming:
- Judgment will take place (Matthew 25: 31-34, Hebrews 9: 28, Jude 14, 15, Revelation 22: 12-15) The
- unrighteous will be destroyed (Matthew 16: 27, Matthew 25: 41)
- The dead will be raised (Job 19:25-27, Daniel 12: 2, 1 Thessalonians 4: 13-18,
- the righteous who are alive will be transformed (Philippians 3: 20, 21, 1 Corinthians 15: 51-55
