Lesson № 3 Where do the troubles come from? Where did Satan come from?

God did not create Satan. He created the beautiful Lucifer (which means "morning star"). God made him perfect (Ezekiel 28: 14, 15), endowing him with beauty and intelligence.

However, Lucifer allowed pride, envy, jealousy and hatred in his heart (Ezekiel 28:16, 17). As a result, he wanted to become equal to the Lord (Isaiah 14: 13, 14) and rebelled against Him, accusing God of tyranny and violence. There was a war in heaven in which Lucifer was thrown out (Revelation 12: 7-9).

God did not destroy Satan, otherwise some celestial beings might think that the devil is right.

God left him alive only by taking control of his influence, so that everyone would see his unrighteousness and evil, so that there would be no doubt about the love of God, the wisdom and justice of His law.

What is it sin? How did it appear?

The Bible teaches us that sin is-

  • violation of God's Law (1 John 3:4; Romans 3:20)
  • all unrighteousness (1 John 5:17)
  •  when you know to do good  but do not do it (James 4:17)
  • The progenitor of all sins is Satan, he is the devil (1 John 3:8).
  • Satan means "adversary," and the devil means " slanderer." But first his name was Lucifer.

"And God created man in his own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them... and God saw... behold, it was very good" (Genesis 1: 27; 31).

God has endowed the human with  mind and what is important He gave the  freedom of choice. When man met Satan, he succumbed to temptation and sinned by transgressing God's clear prohibition (Genesis 2: 15-17; 3: 1-6).

He used his freedom of choice to his own detriment. Man believed the devil, doubting in God. So he deliberately rejected the Lord, breaking the covenant with Him (Hosea 6: 7), and fell under the power of Satan.
