Lesson 4.6. Enemies of the Book Verse 4: Surah Al-Maida 5:13

“Because they broke their covenant, we cursed them and hardened their hearts. They twist the words from their context, and have forgotten part of what they were reminded of. You will constantly discover new treacheries from most of them. Pardon them and forgive them, for Allah loves those who do good.”

Verse #4: Surat Al-Maidah 5:13

What does this verse really say?

Here we see that the Jews twisted the words, which corrupted the meaning, but were not corrupting the Book itself. Here Allah said that the Jews take the words without regard for their context and forget part of what Allah reminded them of.
